Here are some pictures from over the weekend, we had a nice, but busy weekend! We spent much of Saturday unloading boxes from the last load from the old house. It was a TON of work, but we finally are done with everything. Then, we cleaned the basement and put all of the kids toys and things down there for another "play" area, they love riding their bikes and playing with all the stuff that I had packed away some time ago!

Then, Aunt Ginger, and Phil, Martina, and Jack and Carlo came by for dinner and to play! The kids had a great time, especially Carter who was thrilled to have some boys here to play with. The evening was topped off with karaoke that Ginger bought as our house-warming gift. It was a blast! We had a "secret" singer in the group who marveled us with her skills (I am not mentioning any names, but let me just say, we were ALL really impressed!)

On Sunday, the Kutcka's and Cermak's came over for a cookout and the kids were happy to see their buddies. They had fun playing in the basement and the grown-ups were actually able to sit down for a meal.

The weekend concluded with me coming down with strep throat and making a holiday trip to the Urgent Care. Apparently I have run myself down so much I am catching germs that only children catch! Anyway, I hope to be 100% soon and Jason and I both are glad that the hard work is dwindling down and we can finally take some time to rest and recover a bit (if that's even possible around here, I am not sure)

Kitty Evans

Born 1993, Died May 22, 2008.

May Kitty rest in peace!!!!

We are HOME!

Yes, our move is complete. Not much else to report other than the grown-ups are VERY tired, the kids LOVE the new house, and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of the people that have helped us.

It was really crazy at one point, but we managed with the help of our closest "family", that includes the following people who helped us so much over the course of the last week. This included things like bringing Carter dry pants (Phil), helping with the kids (Martina), bringing us food (Meagan and Dana), giving us boxes (Dana & Mike), moving the entire contents of our house and putting tons of things together (Larry & Sparky), having our kids over while we moved (Mike & Betty), and taking awesome care of all four kids (Kara!)

Happy Mother's Day!

Carter made this beautiful welcome mat for Mother's Day at school! We had a nice day despite the horrid weather. We started the day with a little "take out" breakfast, which is the theme for the week with all the kitchen packed. We all had pancakes and it was wonderful!

Then we spent a few hours at Grandma and Grandpa's and then it was back home to continue the task of packing this entire house! It seems like things have really multiplied since we moved in 4 years ago, oh wait, there was just 2 of us then, now there is 6! Maybe that has something to do with all this STUFF!!!!!

We're Moving!

And Cooper was trying to help me pack up the dining room!

Annabelle the Chef!

I went downstairs to see what Annabelle was up to, and this is what I saw!

Carter's Haircut

Carter finally got his hair cut! He was really looking like Charlie Bucket from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Anyway, he also had his and Cooper's 4 year and 1 year visits at the doctor today. Carter was SO good. He told the doc that he was there for his "check up" and sat still for all that went on. The funniest part was the "weigh in" he came in at a whopping 53 pounds, and 3 feet 10.5 inches! She said he was WAY off the chart, for both (which is a relief that the weight wasn't the only one off the chart!). He also counted to 36 while we were in the waiting room, I was very impressed!

Cooper was not as pleasant at her appointment. But, none-the-less she weighed in at 24 pounds and 31 inches. She is in the 75th percentile for weight and 95th for height! She stayed true to all Evans children, measuring off the charts in head size. Thankfully there's a history of huge noggins, otherwise we'd be running up to Chicago with each kid!
