The Jumpy Party!!!

Today was the very much anticipated "Jumpy" party for Carter's birthday! Carter had an awesome time with some friends from school and some of his other good friends. We jumped, there was ice cream, cake, and presents! Carter said that I was, "The greatest Mommy ever!" which of course made it all worth it.

Emme and Papa were able to see all the action, and help take care of Cooper. The twins were finally old enough (and big enough) to truly enjoy the jumps, and they had a great time too!

All in all, it was a great day, and yes, I am glad that all the birthday "hoopla" is over....

Happy Birthday Carter!!!!

Carter turned 4 today!!! He came downstairs this morning, half-awake and muttered, "Am I four yet?" When I told him yes, he jumped around yelling, "I'm four, I'm four!" The twins sang happy birthday at breakfast and then off to school they went!

Jason and I wrapped his presents, got some balloons, and baked a cake! When Kara brought the kids home, Carter was THRILLED to see his surprises! He even said that this was the best birthday ever!

Then, in the evening, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Steve, and Aunt Rachel, and the Cermaks came by! We had pizza, and cake and ice cream. Carter got a new big wheel, and tons of other neat gifts from everyone! He thought it was great!

Happy Easter!

Here are some pictures from Easter morning! The kids actually had very low expectations about the "Easter Bunny" so they were THRILLED to say the least when they came downstairs to find their "booty". They loved their baskets with their Viewmasters (Dora, Diego and Lightning McQueen of course), candy, and other treats! Annabelle was impressed that the Easter bunny knew Dora, and Olivia was still very skeptical of a large bunny being in her house while she was sleeping.

Then, we were off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Easter lunch, an egg hunt, and more candy! They all of course had a wonderful time. Carter even managed to convince Grandpa to take him to the park (keep in mind it was like 39 degrees).

Carter had an excellent time with the "boys", especially his cousin Alec!

Cooper Walking!

Cooper is now taking 3 to 5 steps at a time! I've also found her walking by herself, even when she thinks no one is watching!!!!!

Buca Di Beppo!

On Saturday, Carter and traveled to a birthday party for one of his classmates, his BFF in fact! It was in Mokena, so we stopped on the way back and picked up some Buca Di Beppo for the family!

Olivia obviously was enjoying her spaghetti, and I have to say that the sauce was like paint, you had to scrub and scrub to get the orange tinge off her face! Annabelle enjoyed her spaghetti as well, she ended up just slightly less messy than her sister!

FINALLY! We got to go OUTSIDE!!!

Can I get a WOOHOO???? Finally, it was warm enough for the kids to get outside! I think it was around 50, but it seemed like 80!!! We took a really long walk, and I came to the conclusion that my life has gotten SOOOOOO much easier! Taking your kids for a walk when 75% can now listen is a great advancement! The big kids can run, listen, play, and I don't have to worry as much as I have in the past. Cooper is also a delight, she loves to watch them from her stroller (for now anyway) and loves to go for a walk! Carter came in and said, "Mommy, all that running and playing makes me hungry, thirsty, and tired!" I say, "MISSION COMPLETE!!!"

Cooper the Cupie Doll!!!

Cooper is growing up so fast! She loves her bath time and is SOOOOOOO close to taking her first steps. Kara and I have seen her take one, but that's it so far!!!!

A Trip to Montessori!

The twins had an opportunity to take me to an open house at the Montessori! They LOVED showing me all their favorite "works" and showing me their classroom! They are SO much more capable than I give them credit for! Had I known that they were practicing using a dust pan and broom, I would have put them to work a long time ago!

Then last night, we went back (AGAIN) for Carter's preschool open house. He told me we were going to do 100 "works" before we left. Mommy did NOT have the stamina for that kind of evening. Anyway, we saw some of his friends, his class, and watched him do his classroom favorites, he was SO proud.

Carter also told me that he was "thinking" about 5 things, "Money, go carts (which is a golf cart), and South Carolina." (I think he counts the words South and Carolina as 3 things!) He said he wants to go to Emme & Papa's beach house, soon, for a visit! I told him Mommy likes all those things and our summer vacation could not happen soon enough, bring on July!!!!
