Emme is here!

The kids are having a great time with their "Emme" who arrived on Wednesday. We were all so glad to see her, and for her to meet our newest "Sissy." We've had a great time, playing outside, hanging out, going to the park, and visiting with friends. Our friends Tish and Becky came by to meet Finley and visit with the kids, we ALWAYS love having "fresh" visitors over here, it's so exciting for the kids (and for us!!!) Then on Saturday, Emme and Becky took the kids to the park, dinner, and for some dancing downtown Valpo. There was live music and the kids loved dancing and working on their "moves." It was so nice for Jason and I to have some peace and quiet (Finley doesn't make a peep) in our own house. There's really never been a time when someone has taken all 4 of the kids anywhere, so we were so grateful for Emme and Becky's "field trip." :)

Here are some photos of the gang with Emme, and some new pictures of Finley!!!

More Finley!!

Finley and I are on the mend! She's doing so much better and is taking a bottle now!!! Here are some pictures of her with her first bottle!!! :)

Welcome Finley Cooke Evans!!

Finley Cooke Evans

Born 6-16-09 at 6:51 am, 7 pounds 8 ounces, 19 1/2 inches long. She has had a few little issues with breathing, but seems to be moving in the right direction. She is now off any oxygen, keeping our fingers crossed that she stays that way! She just started her feedings, and hopefully she and I both will be home in the next couple of days!

Summer Fun!!!

We are having so much fun now that the kids are out of school! We've been to the park, the movie store (they LOVE picking out a movie, and for 99 cents, who can beat it) the pool, and HOURS outside in the yard. It is so nice to have so much space for them to play and ride bikes now, without so much worry about cars, them being close to the street, and the dreaded lake in backyard that we used to have to contend with! They still love their swing set, and Cooper is a big fan of the sandbox and loves to dig and play with her shovel and bucket!

We also have done tons of organizing of the playroom, kids rooms, and basement. They love to help organize their toys, and have such a sense of accomplishment when they have participated. I just have to make sure that they aren't too aware of some of the "stuff" that makes it's way to the garbage. I swear, if they had their way, we would have to keep every single drawing, art project, McDonald's toy, and broken toy in this house! The kids office, and playroom both got 2 new pieces of "furniture" (it came from IKEA, so I use this term loosely, more like "organizational pieces.") So, we spent Sunday morning getting it all put together and organized. They were so proud to show Betsy today when she got here all the work they had done, it was cute. Then yesterday afternoon, we visited with Jason's parents. The kids of course had a great time playing outside, taking a tractor ride to the park, and eating ice cream and treats.

We are just really enjoying our leisurely summer schedule, tons of fun outside, and nowhere to be at any certain time! Gotta love summer!!! We hope the weather improves just a little bit, it hasn't been all that warm (the pool days aren't with any regularity) but heck, you won't find a woman who is 9 months pregnant complaining about that!!!!

Here are some recent pics of the big kids "clowning around!"
