Popcorn Fest!

The kids were taken to their first ever Popcorn Parade! Carter and the girls had talked about it all week long and were so excited that their Papa was coming to visit, and their Aunt Ginger was coming to town! We took the kids down by the Franklin House so they could get the full experience (they are on a need to know basis about the rest of the fest, we only are showing them one thing at a time, can you imagine the CHAOS if we took them to the kids area?) So, this was actually their first real parade. Carter loved hanging out with Jack and Carlo and some other friends from school, that was really more important to him than the parade. But the twins really loved the bands, and the cheerleaders (especially Belle, we need to start working on her gymnastics skills if she has any hopes of being a cheerleader!). Annabelle announced that when she grows up, she wants to be a drummer, with sticks. Now, we weren't sure if she meant the band Styx or just sticks in general, I guess time will tell.

Basically it was a VERY long parade, the kids loved it, and we were ready to get them home and to the sitter in a few hours, so we go head down to the fest! It was really nice that Papa and Aunt Ginger made the trip to see them, it's so important for them to see their family, which doesn't happen often around here!!!

It was a great fest, Jason made it out in one piece, and it was a success, that's all you can ask for!!!
